Licheng Jiao has been a full professor in Xidian University since 1992. He is the member of the Academia Europaea. He is the HuaShan Distinguished Professor of Xidian University, the director of the Faculty of Computer Science and Technology of Xidian University, International Research Center for Intelligent Perception and Computation, Key Laboratory of Intelligent Perception and Image Understanding of Ministry of Education, Joint International Research Laboratory of Intelligent Perception and Computation, and National Base of Intelligent Information Processing. His professional activities include IEEE/IET/CAAI/CAA /CCF/CIE Fellow, the member of the International Division of Scientific and Technological Committee of the Ministry of Education in China, the vice board chairperson of Chinese Association of Artificial Intelligence. He is the chairman of IET Xi’an Network, the Xi’an Chapter of IEEE Computational Intelligence Society, the Award Commission of IEEE Xi’an Chapter, and the Xi’an Chapter of IEEE Geoscience and Remote Sensing Society. He is the Associate Editor of “IEEE Transactions on Geoscience and Remote Sensing” and “IEEE Transactions on Cybernetics”, the Presiding Panelist for the Innovative Team in the Ministry of Education, the member of the Subject Consultative Group of the State Council and the expert of the Undergraduate Teaching Level Evaluation of the Ministry of Education, evaluation expert of the National Natural Science Foundation Information Division, member of the Assessment Panel of National Postdoctoral Management Committees.
The research direction of Prof. Jiao includes intelligent perception and image understanding, image understanding and object recognition, deep learning and brain-inspired computation. More than 10 of his students have won the National Excellent Doctoral Dissertation Award and nomination, or the Shaanxi Province Excellent Doctoral Dissertation Award. His research results have won the Youth Science and Technology Award, the Second Prize of National Natural Science Award and several provincial-level first Prizes. More than 20 Academic monographs have been published, which have won the National Scientific Book Award 6 times and the first “Three One-hundreds” Excellent Book Award. Evaluated by the Google Scholar, the H-index of his publication is 90.

Gwanggil Jeon received the B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. (summa cum laude) degrees from the Department of Electronics and Computer Engineering, Hanyang University, Seoul, Korea, in 2003, 2005, and 2008, respectively. From 2009.09 to 2011.08, he was with the School of Information Technology and Engineering, University of Ottawa, Ottawa, ON, Canada, as a Post-Doctoral Fellow. From 2011.09 to 2012.02, he was with the Graduate School of Science and Technology, Niigata University, Niigata, Japan, as an Assistant Professor. From 2014.12 to 2015.02 and 2015.06 to 2015.07, he was a Visiting Scholar at Centre de Mathématiques et Leurs Applications (CMLA), École Normale Supérieure Paris-Saclay (ENS-Cachan), France. From 2019 to 2020, he was a Prestigious Visiting Professor at Dipartimento di Informatica, Università degli Studi di Milano Statale, Italy. He is currently a Full Professor at Incheon National University, Incheon, Korea. He was a Visiting Professor at Sichuan University, China, Universitat Pompeu Fabra, Barcelona, Spain, Xinjiang University, China, King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang, Bangkok, Thailand, and University of Burgundy, Dijon, France.
Prof. Jeon is an ACM Member, IEEE Senior Member, an Associate Editor of Sustainable Cities and Society, IEEE Access, Real-Time Image Processing, Journal of System Architecture, and MDPI Remote Sensing. Prof. Jeon was a recipient of the IEEE Chester Sall Award in 2007, ACM’s Distinguished Speaker in 2022, the ETRI Journal Paper Award in 2008, and Industry-Academic Merit Award by Ministry of SMEs and Startups of Korea Minister in 2020.

Mingliang Gao received his PhD degree in Communication and Information Systems from Sichuan University. He is now an associate professor at the Shandong University of Technology. He was a visiting lecturer at the University of British Columbia during 2018-2019. He established the Brighten Vision Group and enjoyed immensely working with students and researchers. He has been the principal investigator for a variety of research funding, including the National Natural Science Foundation, China Postdoctoral Foundation, National Key Research Development Project, etc. His research interests include computer vision, machine learning, and intelligent optimal control. He has published over 100 journal/conference papers in IEEE, Springer, Elsevier, and Wiley.

Wang Lei is currently the associate dean and professor of the School of Computer Science and Technology at Shandong University of Technology. In February 2016, he went to the National University of Limerick for a study visit. His research interests include pattern recognition, artificial intelligence, machine learning and computer vision, including deep learning, digital and medical image processing, 3D reconstruction, high-dimensional data mining, visualization, and computer-aided diagnostic software design and system development. Professor Wang is also a member of China Computer Society. ACM member, member of SHANDONG Executive Committee of ACM; Member of Shandong Artificial Intelligence Society, etc. He is also in IEEE Transactions on Biomedical Engineering, Information Fusion, The Imaging Science Journal, Journal of Medical Imaging & Health, Journal of Computer science, Journal of Computer-Aided Design and Graphics, Journal of South China University of Technology, Computer Science and other famous academic journals at home and abroad published more than 20 SCI, EI and Chinese core papers. It has applied for 4 national invention patents and 8 authorized software Copyrights.
He has also been invited to serve on the board of Pattern Recognition, Biomedical Signal Processing & Control, IEEE Transaction on Biomedical Engineering, Reviewer of academic journals such as Journal of Shandong University of Technology.
